Same-sex couples, all through out the world have to face discrimination in their day-to-day life. From adopting children to their marriage, they are looked at with scorn and often have to face legal hassles.
A meeting held in the Kirk Assembly in Scotland recently had a brainstorming debate on whether the local ministers should be given permission to give their blessing to the gay couples.
No conclusion has been arrived at yet, and the issue will be reportedly taken up in next year assembly session. However a bill is proposed stating that it will be upon the minister to decide whether or not they world like to bless this same-sex marriages.
Although, a group of gay and straight church members who call themselves the Affirmation Scotland, has outrightly backed the gay couple’s ceremony.
