What is the proof of service to claim the bridal gown from bridal reflection on the eve of their 35th anniversary?

My friend told me that in the event of bridal reflection 35th anniversary they are offering 100 of bridal gown to the brides to be who have served either in Afghanistan or Iraq or have a fiancé who has served there. She further told me that these gowns are very good and range from $1,500 to $5,000. The gowns will be distributed on the basis of first come and first serve basis with the proof of service. What I want to know is the proof of service. I mean I don’t understand that what they want in the proof of service? Shall I take my employment letter or I card with me?
