I am looking at engagement rings, and I noticed some sites don’t offer Asscher cuts but other cuts I don’t see on other sites. I originally thought somewhere between .5 and .75 carats, but the only local jeweler who carries that cut suggested that you need at least 1 full carat to really be able to see the beauty of this cut. Obviously, this is going to be true to some extent, but is this really a concern or was this sales puffery to up sell me? Please help.
